     "Maybe I'm off maybe the thing is that democracy isn't at fault maybe it's that it has become deMOCKrity instead that is to say maybe what the war-mongers are putting out there as being democracy or them as being champions of it aren't - they've interpreted it wrong - don't know what they're doing - as if it's a wild animal they don't got no control over - and here's my bet, what if there were this equality - what if there were this caring about others, this compassionate state - this that no human is better than any other - and the preservation of the Earth is our goal - all animals all plantlife regarded with awe - so that we raise our crops to feed ourselves but leave animals alone - wild - let cats be cats for example - pigs pigs - and eat the other abundance - so it's not necessary to torture animals - not even milk the cow - why is this such a radical thought? Democracy must extend to all living life forms - all who breathe - and of course we must eat from the abundance to survive - but why not plants? - Plants are the most alien beings (outside rocks) - but let us say we are allowed to divorce ourselves from the democratic process when it comes to plants and rocks, and let us live in harmony with even fish, for example - which simply breath oxygen in a manner separate from ours - and let us then pretend we are being democratic - it is like salt being a substance we need to survive - eat it - that's o.k. - eat the salt and the plants but for god's sake let the animals alone - and the child asks 'Why not milk?' - and we answer, 'Think if your mother were to deliver milk to you throughout your adolescence - and not only to you but to hundreds and thousands of others - It would completely evaporate her body' - but you say 'Fish, they have no feelings' - and I say 'You don't know what feelings are.' 'What about rats and cockroaches - insects?' 'Let them be - relocate them if necessary, certainly do what it takes to insure our crops - but nothing done in malice, with hate, and for no reason - first of all we preserve ourselves, yes - but all life has a claim to the protections  under our democracy - otherwise it is not democracy but fascism...' "
